The inspirational phrase that I will remember this year is “work hard”. This will remind me to work harder in all aspects of my life including basketball, lifting, and school work. Sometimes I feel like I get lazy with things and that needs to change which is why I chose “work harder “.

My first basketball game of the year is today, November 30th. I am absolutely thrilled. It as Catholic Central which isn’t ideal because it is always loud, hot, and a hard place to play at in my opinion. I have been looking forward to this game for a long time and I am super excited for tonight!

Last Saturday, November 9th, I had my first scrimmage for Kenton Ridge boys basketball. The team did better than I expected, we also worked very well together and had great chemistry. We beat Covington by 15 points! I am looking forward to our next scrimmage.

This week are basketball tryouts for the high school and I couldn’t be happier. I have played all spring, summer, and fall and am really optimistic about this season. I’m very excited to see all my hard work hopefully pay off. Tryouts are in about 30 minutes, so wish me luck!
This past Tuesday, October 16 was the opening night for the National Basketball Association. I was thrilled, I live for basketball and really enjoy watching pro players compete. There was 2 games that night, 76ers vs. Celtics and Warriors vs. Thunder. I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the games with some friends and had a blast. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season!

On Saturdays, I participate in the All Ohio Nike Fall Basketball League. It is a league for the top tier players in Ohio. Last week was my first game and it was great competition. It is very eye-opening the amount of talent in just 1 small state. My next game is this Saturday, my team hopes to improve to 2-0.

Sports are entertaining. Whether it’s getting together with friends to watch a game on TV or it’s going to the stadium to watch your favorite team play it can be exciting. Sports help people and fans bond together for the love of their team. Sports are associated with good times, great laughs, and a great experience. I am a sports enthusiast!
The life of an athlete is very tough on the body and the mind. I’ve played basketball since the age of 6. Through long practices and tough workouts, I have grown a lot as a person.
